olive oil polyphenols reduce wrinkle

In an exciting development for the skincare industry, a recent clinical study has confirmed the powerful anti-aging effects of high-phenolic olive oil, specifically rich in Oleocanthal and Oleacein. This groundbreaking research underscores the effectiveness of Oleaphen’s premium ingredients in reducing wrinkles and rejuvenating skin.

Understanding Skin Aging

Skin aging results from both intrinsic factors, like genetic aging, and extrinsic factors, such as UV exposure and lifestyle habits. These elements contribute to decreased fibroblast activity and reduced collagen production, leading to the formation of wrinkles.

The Power of Oleaphen’s High-Phenolic Olive Oil

Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) is renowned for its health benefits, including cardiovascular protection and anti-inflammatory effects. At Oleaphen, we’ve enhanced these benefits by focusing on high-phenolic olive oil with the highest available content of Oleocanthal and Oleacein. These polyphenols are known for their extraordinary antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, making them exceptional for skincare.

The Study: Validation of Our Ingredients

Conducted independently by the Dermatology Units of Magna Graecia University in Catanzaro and Sapienza University in Rome, Italy, the study was a randomized, single-blind clinical trial aimed at evaluating the anti-aging efficacy of a serum containing 1% Oleocanthal and Oleacein. The trial included 70 participants aged 18 to 75, who were categorized by age and skin type (thin or thick skin).

Participants applied the serum twice daily for 30 days. The VISIA® Skin Analysis System was used to measure wrinkle reduction and skin improvement at baseline, after 15 days, and after 30 days.

Impressive Results

The study's findings were significant:

- Women aged 45–79 years: Achieved a mean wrinkle reduction of 33.91%.

- Men aged 20–44 years: Experienced a substantial mean wrinkle reduction of 51.93%.

- Men aged 45–79 years: Saw a mean wrinkle reduction of 46.56%.

- Women aged 20–44 years: Noted a reduction of 25.68%.

These results highlight the potent anti-aging capabilities of high-phenolic olive oil, particularly for older adults.
